Alavert provides temporary relief of symptoms of hay fever and other upper respiratory allergies, including runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itchy nose and throat. Alavert works to block the release of a chemical called histamine in the body. Histamine is produced by the immune system when the body is exposed to allergens, and often results in symptoms of allergies and hay fever.
