Differin Uses:
Differin is an acne medication that works beneath the skin’s surface to prevent and eliminate acne.

Patients with a history or current diagnosis of any of following conditions should consult their doctor before treatment with Differin:
- Eczema
- Seborrheic dermatitis
- Cancer
Differin Dosage Information:
Typical Dosage Recommendations
Patients should take Differin exactly as prescribed by a doctor, as dosage recommendations differ for the treatment of various conditions.
Differin is distributed as a gel or cream. Differin gel comes as .1 percent and .3 percent concentrations. Differin cream is a .1 percent concentration that may be prescribed for patients with more sensitive skin.
Apply Differin to clean, dry areas of the skin affected by acne. Do not apply Differin in or around the eyes, lips, or inside of the nose.
Patients being treated with Differin should wear sunscreen to protect their skin during treatment, avoid cold weather and wind, and should not use hot wax to remove unwanted hair.
Missing a Dose
If you forget to apply a dose of Differin, apply it as soon as you remember. If you are close to your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your normal dosage schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medicine.
Overdosing
Do not swallow Differin. This may cause an overdose.
