Orphenadrine citrate is used to temporarily relieve pain caused by various muscle conditions, including spasms, sprains, and strains.
Muscle spasms can occur after an injury, such as a strain or sprain, when the muscles or ligaments contract painfully. Often occurring in the back, muscle pain and spasms involve a rapid contraction of the muscles from irregular nerve impulses. Pain is an indication of the affected area’s sensitivity to further damage, and orphenadrine citrate used in combination with rest, ice, heat, and physical therapy can help to decrease the pain experienced from muscle spasms, as well as to help improve the recovery process.
Orphenadrine citrate is for short-term use only.
