Dr. Shalanda Webb is a board‑certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Prisma Health System in Columbia, South Carolina, committed to advancing women’s health equity and reducing disparities. A Clemson University alumna with a B.S. in Biochemistry and an M.S. in Bioengineering, she earned her M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine and completed Ob/Gyn residency through GRMEP at Michigan State University.
Dr. Webb combines academic rigor and clinical expertise—often working as a hospitalist and formerly directing the Obstetrics Division at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine (2020–2021). She leads quality improvement initiatives, including CenteringPregnancy in federally qualified health centers and HPV vaccination campaigns in rural South Carolina. Her innovative approach encompasses intimate partner violence programming, community outreach and culturally competent care.
An active public health advocate, she participates in health fairs, conducts digital media interviews and supports underserved communities. As a consultant, Dr. Webb empowers women to assume leadership roles through coaching on negotiation and advocacy. Partnering with public health leaders and policymakers, she works to dismantle systemic barriers and ensure equitable, high‑quality care for all patients.
