Dr. Vanessa Hux is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist with extensive clinical, research and public health experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University before receiving her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. During her training, she completed a fellowship in clinical research, focusing on the impact of chronic stress on the risk of preeclampsia.

Dr. Hux completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University in 2018 and achieved board certification in 2021. She has published and presented widely on topics related to obstetrics and gynecology and is a dedicated advocate for patient engagement and health equity. Her work has addressed issues such as COVID-19 vaccination in pregnancy, black maternal health, and gender and racial health disparities and she has been featured in several public health campaigns.

With clinical and teaching experience in both academic and community-based settings, Dr. Hux also contributes to quality improvement initiatives across Florida. She currently practices comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology in Lakeland, Florida.
