Brendan A. Smith is an award-winning attorney and a partner in the Complex Litigation Department at Simmons Hanly Conroy. Smith has more than a decade of experience in complex litigation and focuses on pharmaceutical, medical device and sexual abuse litigation. He dedicates his practice to representing people injured or harmed through no fault of their own.

“Many of our clients have suffered severe injuries as a result of unsafe products manufactured by national and multi-national corporations,” said Smith.

Together, he and the complex litigation team at Simmons Hanly Conroy have recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for their clients. They are fiercely dedicated to their clients and helping them pursue their claims. He has helped more than a thousand clients injured by sexual abuse, Elmiron, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), Essure, Zofran, Xarelto and others.

“Clients should have confidence there is an entire team working diligently on their case. We will always pick up the phone or email when questions arise. I want clients to know they are a critical piece of the equation,” Smith said.

Some of the newer litigations he is involved in include Tepezza, Bard PowerPort, baby formula and rideshare/Uber.

Originally from St. Louis, Smith was instilled with a respect for the law by his two attorney parents. He earned his law degree from the St. Louis University School of Law and concentrated on civil litigation. Before that, he received his bachelor’s in English with a concentration on writing from DePauw University and was on the Dean’s List.
