Hair Relaxer MDL Updates

The hairy relaxer litigation primarily located in a multi district litigation that is centralized in the northern district of Illinois and Chicago in front of, judge Rowland. There are several thousand cases that have been filed in the hair relaxer litigation to date. We believe that you’re going to see that number go up quite a bit once they make some determinations on on the experts and the extent of what experts can discuss and testify to in the litigation as it relates to the injuries suffered in this case. When the Herilexual litigation first started, there was some thought that people who suffered from ovarian cysts or fibroid tumors would be able to participate in litigation. As the case has evolved and as the expert testimony has evolved, it doesn’t appear that those are cases that are going to find much of a footing in the MDL. We don’t think that the judge is going to entertain those types of injuries moving forward.
