What to Expect Throughout the Legal Process

When people hire an attorney and they hire the right attorney, they should have a partner in a process that is going to be complicated and constantly moving and changing, often over many years. It’s your attorney’s job to help you through that process, to hold your hand where necessary, to be communicative. There will be periods of time where there will be lots of information requested. There will be periods of time where there’s not lots of information requested. But your attorney should always be available to answer any questions you have anywhere in that process and give you a sense of where it’s going and when things will be required. We certainly don’t expect our clients to understand how that process is going to move. Sometimes we don’t know because it changes based on what’s going on in a particular litigation. Your attorney is going to communicate that every step of the way and give you the information you need.
