Leslie Scarlett, M.D.
Ophthalmologist and Aesthetic Medicine Specialist
Dr. Scarlett is a board-certified ophthalmologist and aesthetic medicine specialist with a distinguished background in both clinical practice and medical leadership.
Originally from Monroe, Louisiana, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana State University with a degree in Microbiology. She went on to earn a master’s degree from Baylor College of Medicine before completing her medical degree, surgical internship and ophthalmology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Scarlett holds dual board certifications in Ophthalmology through the American Board of Ophthalmology and Aesthetic Medicine through the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine. She has also pursued advanced oculoplastic training under the guidance of Dr. Soheila Rostami and Dr. Tanuj Nakra.
An active leader in her field, Dr. Scarlett is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Women in Ophthalmology, American Board of Aesthetic Medicine and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. She also served as president of the Charleston Ophthalmology Society.
