Rita Soni, PharmD, BCPS is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor and Clinical Pharmacist in the Drug Information Group at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy.

She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the UIC College of Pharmacy in 1998. She completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Illinois Hospital in 1999. She is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS) since 2002.

Her current role in the Drug Information Group involves providing verbal and written drug information to health care professionals and consumers, assisting in medication reviews and drug monographs for various clients, precepting fourth year pharmacy students, pharmacy practice and drug information residents, and participating in the drug information course for first and second year pharmacy students at UIC College of Pharmacy and at the University of Malta.
