Washington Woman Shares What Went Wrong After Receiving a Mesh Bladder Sling
On this episode of the Drugwatch podcast, Donna Miser joins us to share her experience with a transvaginal mesh bladder sling.
Donna received a bladder sling to treat stress urinary incontinence, or SUI, a condition that causes urine to leak when there’s increased pressure on the bladder.
No one told Donna about the potential complications, which include chronic pain, infections or mesh cutting into the bladder or other organs — all which Miser suffered.
Women have been filing lawsuits for transvaginal mesh complications since 2011, and lawyers are still taking cases.
Donna shared her story to spread awareness and warn others.
